Suggestion: require revenue claims in Making Money to include a cost line

Half the threads in Making Money are a revenue screenshot and nothing else. They are useless at best and actively misleading to beginners at worst.

Proposal: any thread claiming income has to state costs, or it gets moved to Off Topic. Not asking for audited accounts, just the second number.

Would also kill most of the thinly-veiled course advertising, which I suspect is the real benefit.

Strongly for. I wrote a whole P&L thread partly out of frustration at this.

As the target audience for the misleading version: yes please.

Workable as long as it is not enforced pedantically. "Spend was about 30% of that" should be enough to pass.

Reasonable. Trialling it as a soft rule for 30 days — reports to mods rather than auto-moves, and we will see how much work it creates.
