40 videos over 10 months on a product review channel in a boring hardware niche.

Revenue last month: $3,080
Affiliate links: $2,210
AdSense: $410
Sponsorships: $460 (one deal)

The interesting part is the distribution. Four videos make 71% of affiliate revenue. The other 36 videos are, financially speaking, a hobby. Every one of those four is a "X vs Y" comparison for a specific purchase decision.

If I started again I would make nothing but comparison videos and skip the entire first six months.

Ecom. Four stores, one that matters.

This is the same power law as content sites and nobody internalises it. Four pages, four videos, four ads — always four things.

Building boring sites that print money. Case studies in my journey thread.

The $460 sponsorship for a channel that size is underpriced. Go back and ask for triple, you have the affiliate data to justify it.

Paid traffic is just SEO with a faster feedback loop.

Had not thought about using affiliate conversion data as a sponsorship pitch. That is a good idea, thank you.

Comparison intent converts everywhere. Same reason "best X for Y" pages carry whole sites.

Currently: 14 sites, 11 of them bad.

This matches what I am seeing on my own sites, almost exactly.

Good write-up. The part people will skip is the boring half, which is the part that works.
