Is X Premium worth paying for in 2026? 30 days on and off, same content

Two accounts, same niche, same 60 posts written by me and scheduled identically. One Premium, one not. 30 days.

So roughly 4x on impressions for $8/mo, which looks like the easiest yes in marketing. Two caveats before you reach for your card.

• The free account was two weeks younger. I tried to match them and could not fully
• Reply reach is where almost all the gap sits. Original posts were about 1.6x. If you do not reply to bigger accounts, you are buying much less than 4x

Verdict: worth it if your strategy is replies, marginal if you only post.

The reply-reach split is the part everyone leaves out. Premium is effectively a discount on borrowing other people's audiences.

Two weeks of age difference on a 30-day test is a real confound, to be fair. Direction is probably right, magnitude I would not quote.

Agreed, and I said so for exactly that reason. If someone wants to run it properly with matched accounts I will happily be corrected.

$8 to quadruple distribution is the cheapest thing on the internet and people argue about it like it is a car payment.

What does this look like after an update? That is where most of these fall over.
