Hello from Ohio — warehouse job by day, learning this at night

Been lurking for about two weeks and finally made an account.

Quick background: I work nights in a warehouse, I have maybe two hours a day to put into this, and I have made exactly $0 online so far. I am not looking for a magic method, I just want to pick one thing and stick with it for twelve months.

Current plan, open to being told it is wrong:

• One site, one niche, no pivoting
• Write everything myself until I can afford not to
• Reinvest everything for the first year

What would you tell someone on day 9 that you wish someone had told you?

Pick a niche you can stand reading about for a year, because you will be reading about it for a year. That single decision kills more beginners than any algorithm update.

That is useful, thanks. I was about to pick a niche purely off a keyword tool with no interest in the topic at all.

Also: do not buy a course in month one. Everything in the $497 course is in this forum for free, written by people who actually did it.

Welcome. Two hours a day consistently beats eight hours on a Saturday. Boring but true.
